BURNING INSTRUCTIONS:
For the BEST, LONGEST burning experience, set aside several hours for the initial burn to ensure the top of the candle is liquid wax- that will help minimize the dreaded "tunneling" effect.

Remove any black carbon "mushrooms" by carefully extinguishing the flame and trimming the wick to 1/4"; keep the wax pool clear of wick trimmings, matches and debris at all times.

Never leave unattended, duh.
